Description

There are many possible rides here. Most are only on fire roads. Can be long, but there are also some shorter possibilities. The high "O" rating is because of the beauty and relative remoteness of the redwood forests. Also, check out the Waddell Creek trail description.

Directions to the start

Highway 9 to highway 236, to Big Basin Headquarters ("BBHQ").

Editor's note (1996.09.19)

A park ranger has kindly informed me that the rides that used to be described here run through a piece of private property. We'll be updating this page in the future with fully-legal rides.
